Aims & Scope
As of 2026, Lectio Socialis has officially transitioned from a general social sciences and humanities journal to a specialized publication focused exclusively on Political Science and its various sub-disciplines. Consequently, the journal’s scope is now refined to prioritize interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary research that specifically addresses political phenomena and the political dimensions of social reality. Moving forward, we invite scholarly contributions rooted in political theory, comparative politics, international relations, and political sociology, as general studies lacking a central political focus will no longer fall within our editorial mandate. This strategic shift aims to provide a more concentrated academic platform for analyzing the complex political structures of the contemporary world, and we thank our contributors for their continued support during this transition. Lectio Socialis is a prestigious, international, peer-reviewed journal operating on a continuous publication model that provides a platform for scholars to share high-quality, policy-relevant research. The journal’s primary focus is political science, exclusively accepting original research and review articles. While centered on political inquiry, the journal also welcomes contributions from related fields such as public administration, international relations, and economics that offer significant insights into governance and power structures. The primary objective of Lectio Socialis is to maintain an independent and unbiased environment for global researchers to present transformative scholarship that addresses structural inequalities and contributes to the advancement of knowledge and social progress. Lectio Socialis is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. The journal’s primary mission is to provide a dynamic and autonomous platform for scholars worldwide to disseminate high-quality, English-language research that addresses the complex challenges of modern societies. Operating on a continuous publication model, the journal ensures the rapid and timely dissemination of scholarly work to the global academic community. Starting from 2026, the journal’s central objective is to contribute to the advancement of transformative political inquiry. We believe that political science should serve as a catalyst for social progress, empowerment, and meaningful policy change. Lectio Socialis is dedicated to amplifying scholarly discourse that examines structural inequalities, promotes inclusive governance, and fosters a more just and equitable global society through rigorous, evidence-based research. The primary focus of Lectio Socialis is political science, encompassing its major subfields such as political theory, comparative politics, and international relations. The journal serves as a specialized venue for the rigorous analysis of power dynamics, institutional frameworks, and political behavior within diverse socio-economic contexts. Thematic Priorities: Political Analysis of Global Challenges: We prioritize research addressing critical global issues, including gender politics (with a focus on systemic violence and equity) and environmental governance (the politics and policy of climate change). Political Economy & Social Equity: Studies examining the intricate interplay between economic structures and political outcomes, with a particular interest in poverty alleviation, inequality, and the pursuit of social justice. Inclusive Governance & Public Policy: Analysis of institutional designs and political processes that enhance democratic participation and address the needs of marginalized or underrepresented groups. Interdisciplinary Boundaries: While centered on political science, the journal encourages dialogue with public administration and economics. We welcome interdisciplinary submissions that bridge these fields with history, philosophy, or sociology, provided they maintain a clear connection to political science themes.
