Aims & Scope

Jurnal Hilirisasi IPTEKS (JHI) focuses on disseminating high-quality scholarly works that emphasize the downstream application of science, technology, and innovation for community development and societal benefit. The journal serves as an academic bridge between research and its implementation, promoting studies that transform scientific findings into practical, impactful solutions. JHI is committed to publishing innovative works that highlight the integration of research outcomes into community service, policy initiatives, and industrial or technological advancements. Through this focus, the journal fosters collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in driving sustainable development and knowledge-based innovation. The scope of JHI covers a broad range of applied research and development topics related to the downstream utilization of scientific and technological innovations. The journal welcomes submissions in (but not limited to) the following areas: Product Commercialization – Translating research-based innovations into market-ready products and services. Production Innovation – Enhancing production processes and systems to increase efficiency, sustainability, and economic value. Application of Research Results – Applying scientific findings to solve practical problems in communities, industries, and institutions. Research Products – Showcasing tangible outcomes derived from research and development projects. Technology Development – Designing, adapting, and transferring technologies to address local and global challenges. Social Engineering – Implementing social and behavioral change strategies grounded in scientific evidence for community empowerment. Public Policy – Formulating and evaluating policies based on research insights to support innovation and social progress. Prototypes and Models – Developing and testing conceptual frameworks, pilot projects, or models that demonstrate innovation in practice. By encompassing these domains, JHI aims to accelerate the dissemination of applied knowledge, inspire innovation-driven community engagement, and strengthen the impact of academic research on sustainable societal advancement.
