Aims & Scope
The Journal of Global Indigeneity publishes research that engages with Indigenous peoples and communities globally. It focuses on themes such as future worlds, sustainable futures for Indigenous peoples, the future of work, housing, home, social life, sovereignty and justice for Indigenous peoples, the future of Indigenous global networks, intimacies, relations of care, reciprocity, obligation and responsibility, Indigenous queer identities and cultures, and digital futures including how technology can bring about Indigenous futures, the opportunities of digital life, and the challenges of digital life. The journal privileges Indigenous authorship and collaborations and encourages submissions from early career researchers and graduate students. It also invites Indigenous scholars internationally and Critical Indigenous Studies allies who are members of the Centre for Global Indigenous Futures. Non-Indigenous scholars who are not members of the Centre are welcome to submit as a co-author with Indigenous academic leadership.
