Aims & Scope

RELIES: Revista del Laboratorio Iberoamericano para el Estudio Sociohistórico de las Sexualidades focuses on research in Ibero-American History and Social Sciences concerning sexual and gender dissidences. It aims to be a critical space for articulation, resistance, and knowledge production, particularly in contexts where science and rights are threatened. Priority is given to studies on experiences, resistances, and state policies towards the travesti-trans population; social movements of sexual diversity, feminisms, and masculinities and their link to political projects; tensions in gender relations and their impact on public discourse and politics; historical studies on bisexuality and lesbianism/safismo; and cuir/trans archives, memories, heritages, and activations of the LGBTIQ+ collective as forms of recognition and social justice.
