ACTIO Journal of Technology in Design, Film Arts and Visual Communication
Universidad Nacional de Colombia · Colombia · Est. 2017
Aims & Scope
ACTIO Journal of Technology in Design, Film Arts, and Visual Communication is a publication of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, aiming to foster knowledge that is both disciplinary and transdisciplinary. It serves as a space where the intersections of disciplines contribute as much as the disciplines themselves. The journal's name, 'ACTIO,' is Latin for 'to do, to act, or for something to function.' ACTIO seeks to create a dynamic environment where design, film arts, and visual communication 'contaminate,' enrich, and energize each other, generating new actions through their interaction. As a publication of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, ACTIO is part of an initiative towards a Knowledge Management Policy and is projected as an indexed, open-access publication with annual periodicity. It is disseminated digitally and includes articles in Spanish, English, French, Italian, or Portuguese. The journal aims to share original articles, the product of research and creation in the fields of design, film arts, and visual communication, with the academic community.
