Aims & Scope
The journal has been published since 1999. In 1999–2018 it was published under the title “Research Yearbook, Institute of Philosophy and Law, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences”. Since 2019, the journal has been published under the title “Antinomies”. The Journal Antinomies serves as an international platform for discussing emerging problems affecting modern society, around which heated debates are ongoing in philosophy, political science, and law. According to the Journal’s editorial position, the most pressing social problems require complex elucidation, implying their consideration from different – often contradictory – viewpoints. ThеJournal welcomes alternative – and, at the same time, theoretically grounded – points of view on socio-political, legal, ethical, socio-philosophical and epistemological problems of modern society that go beyond the existing scholarly consensus. The materials published in the Journal are addressed to specialists working in social sciences and humanities fields, as well as laypersons interested in these subject areas. Since 2023, the Journal Antinomies has been included in the EGPNI: https://journalrank.rcsi.science/ru/record-sources/levels/29494/ HIGHER ATTESTATION COMMISSION (VAK) LIST OF LEADING PEER-REVIEWED SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS Since 2011, the Journal has been included into the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications, in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate and Doctor of science should be published. The Journal is indexed and referenced in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI); CyberLeninka; RSCI database on the Web of Science platform; EBSCO; Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory; Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ); ERIH PLUS; International Impact Factor Services (IIFS).
