Aims & Scope

Trasvases entre la literatura y el cine is an academic journal aimed at the research community. Its thematic line revolves around the relationships between literature and cinema, and is dedicated to exploring the multiple connections between both artistic disciplines, especially cinematic adaptations or transpositions of literary texts, the influence of cinema on novels, their thematic links, and theoretical and methodological reflection on how to approach their comparative study, without establishing hierarchies between the two arts or using the equivocal and sterile concept of “fidelity” for analysis. Since these transfers with cinema affect literatures of all eras and languages, and the dialogue can be established in both directions (from literature to cinema, and also from cinema to literature), we aim to generate with this journal a multidisciplinary (initially aimed at philologists, but also, among others, at experts in Cinema, Art History, or Translation and Interpretation) and international meeting point for researchers interested in this field of study to showcase their work.
