Aims & Scope

Microbiota in Health and Disease, the official journal of the European Helicobacter and Microbiota Study Group – EHMSG , is focused on all issues related to the role of microbiota in maintaining health or promoting diseases, not only confined to the GI tract. Its scope ranges from publishing papers on novelties in basic science, translational research, clinical trials and new therapeutic options, in order to supply international researchers with a valuable platform of discussion of challenges and opportunities in the field of microbiota. A unique characteristic of Microbiota in Health and Disease journal is to emphasize studies on all issues related to fecal microbiota transplantation, from the technical point of view to its potential therapeutic role in different GI and non-GI diseases. Moreover, another special characteristic is also to give emphasis to the relationships among Helicobacter, gastric and gut microbiota.
