Aims & Scope

Gobierno y Administración Pública is a scientific (peer-reviewed) semiannual, open-access publication, edited and financed by the Department of Public Administration and Political Science and its Master's Program in Politics and Government, both of the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences, University of Concepción, Chile. The journal publishes original and unpublished documents in Spanish or English in the categories: Articles, Essays, Public Experience Documents, and Reviews. It has a semiannual publication frequency. Since 2025, publications are in July and January. The concepts, judgments, and opinions expressed in these categories are the sole responsibility of the authors. It adopts an external peer-review system with a double-blind process. Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are rejected, and Compilatio software is used for its control. The journal Gobierno y Administración Pública only receives contributions through the OJS system, from which an entry code is generated that allows for tracking; at the same time, it confidentially safeguards information related to conflicts of interest declared by authors and peer reviewers. The journal Gobierno y Administración Pública does not charge for publications nor generates monetary costs for its users.
