Aims & Scope

The GIPMeL, an acronym for “Giornale Italiano di Psicologia e Medicina del Lavoro,” is an Italian open access journal subject to peer review. It publishes articles on Occupational Medicine (including Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Occupational and Environmental Hygiene) and Occupational Psychology, with particular attention to topics such as workplace well-being, work-related stress, and psychosocial risk in work environments. The journal welcomes original articles, literature reviews, letters to the editor, and commentaries relevant to the mentioned areas of interest. Its primary purpose is to deepen the understanding of topics relevant to the disciplines covered. The goal of occupational physicians and psychologists is to prevent the onset of occupational diseases and promote the physical and psychological well-being of workers. These objectives can be achieved through interdisciplinary work between occupational physicians and psychologists. Since 2025, GIPMeL has adopted a quarterly publication schedule , issuing four regular issues per year to promote a timely and continuous dissemination of scientific research. “We promote knowledge through interdisciplinary research, combining occupational psychology and medicine to improve health and well-being in the workplace.”
