Aims & Scope

Notes in Current Biology is an ukrainian, peer-reviewed, quick-refereeing open access journal of Biological Science. It publishes reviews, research papers and communications in all areas of biology and in biology-related multidisciplinary fields. Our goal is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in detail. There is no restriction on the paper length. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Electronic files regarding the full details of the experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material. Research fields of interest include but are not limited to: Botany; Ecology; Zoology; Microbiology; Virology; Physiology; Anatomy and Histology; Biochemistry; Molecular and Cellular Biology; Biotechnology; Related Biomedical Research within the Biological Sciences.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
