Aims & Scope

About the Journal Nepal Public Policy Review Connecting research to public policy About the Journal (January 2025) The Nepal Public Policy Review (NPPR) is a bilingual, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to bridging the gap between academic research and practical policy applications in Nepal. Recently, the journal has sharpened its focus to serve as a distinct platform for applied policy research, advancing knowledge with clear relevance to public policy. NPPR accepts three types of submissions: research articles, review articles, and policy commentaries — all of which must demonstrate a strong connection between knowledge and policy. The journal envisions four pathways for creating or co-creating policy-relevant knowledge, including collaborations between researchers and policy actors, as well as cross-disciplinary engagements where researchers and policymakers interact across their respective domains. NPPR welcomes high-quality articles addressing a wide range of public policy issues, including global perspectives that bear relevance to Nepal’s context. We cordially invite you to explore the journal’s Aims and Scope, Journal Policies, Author Guidelines, Reviewer Guidelines, and Call for Papers for more information and opportunities to engage with us.
