Musiques: Recherches interdisciplinaires aims to publish research in music that seeks to go beyond disciplinary limits. The journal's content lies within the realm of possibilities in music, without necessarily recreating existing boundaries and always persisting in the field of musical research. This interdisciplinary vision allows for broader analytical perspectives and a better understanding of music in its social, cultural, and cognitive context. The journal team works in conjunction with all branches of music, whether in research or practice, crossing methods primarily borrowed from the humanities and social sciences, sometimes from the 'exact' sciences, to establish a true dialogue between different musical fields, both in Canada and internationally.
