Translational Exercise Biomedicine
De Gruyter · Germany · Est. 2024
Aims & Scope
Translational Exercise Biomedicine (TEB) is an international interdisciplinary journal focused on exercise interventions and the underlying mec hanisms for improving human health. The journal aims to bridge gaps between knowledge and practice and provide a specific platform for translational research in this field. The editorial board consists of renowned researchers from various countries, facilitating international dissemination and contribution. Translation al Exercise Biomedicine is a peer-reviewed, open access, academic journal, which aims to bridge the gap between mechanistic research and its application to human health and clinical practice with a focus on understanding the therapeutic benefits of exercise and improvement of exercise prescription. Fields of particular interest to the journ al include (but are not limited to): Integrated exercise physiology, biology, and pathophysiology in health and disease Personalized and advanced exercise prescription for health and chronic diseases Physical activity/inactivity and health across the lifespan Sports medicine and movement science Interaction of exercise with diet, nutrition and/or medication Exercise and E-health, M-health, AI and technology Translation means different things in different contexts. As the concept of "exercise is medicine" has grown in recent years, there is an urgent need for translational research in the field of exe rcise that bridges the gaps between basic scientific discoveries (e.g., detailing the physiological and molecular responses to exercise) and its application to improving human health and targeting specific disease pathophysiology. Translational research is also needed to bridge the gap between clinical trials describing the health benefits of exer cise to changes in clinical practice, health promotion and exercise guidelines.
