Aims & Scope

Socioeconomic Analytics (ISSN: 2965-4661) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, short communications, and case studies on the analysis of social and economic data. The journal aims to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share their latest findings, insights, and perspectives on data analysis, operations research, econometric and computer-driven methods and tools to manipulate (big) data to discuss social and economic challenges. The journal accepts submissions in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. After peer review, the manuscript is sent for translation and published in English. The scope of the journal includes but is not limited to the following areas: Social and economic data collection, mining, and management or strategic aspects of public choices; Data analysis methods and techniques in social, economic and public policies research; Statistical inference and Econometric applications; New developments in Operations Research; Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence; Decision Support Systems and Geographic Information Systems; Bibliometric Mapping of Socioeconomic Literature (including reviews of indicators, methods, and relations between variables); Methods and technics for social and economic data visualization; Big data analytics in social and economic research; Predictive modeling and forecasting in social and economic research; Impact and Intervention analysis; Data Envelopment Analysis, Organizational Efficiency and Productivity; Policy evaluation and impact assessment; Statistical methods and techniques for social and economic data analysis. Socioeconomic Analytics encourages an interdisciplinary dialogue within the scholarly community from a local perspective extended to the international horizon. We seek to publish original research that contributes to the development of evidence-based policies and practices with the potential to make a significant impact on applied quantitative methods and assessments. The journal is committed to upholding the highest academic integrity and ethical standards in disseminating cutting-edge research, adopting a rigorous and transparent single-blind peer-review process, and providing timely and constructive feedback to authors. Socioeconomic Analytics is managed by the Research Group on Efficiency and Data Analysis (GEDAI) and the Graduate Programs in Statistics and Production Engineering (CAA) at the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil).
