Aims & Scope

CESURA - Rivista is an expression of the critical and historiographical positions of the European Center for Studies on Humanism and the Aragonese Renaissance – CESURA, in its dual configuration as an association and an international interuniversity center. It reflects the vocation for interdisciplinarity and the integration of different disciplines (particularly literature, philology, linguistics, history, art) demonstrated in the seminar meetings of recent years: in the higher perspective that characterized them, literary expression, documentary testimony, and artistic representation have always been integrated, and the artistic-cultural dimension has never been separated from the ideological and doctrinal one. The journal's vocation, therefore, is to synthetically reproduce the intrinsic variety and cohesive interaction of the historical-cultural models and attestations of Humanism and the Renaissance that were generated in the Kingdom of Southern Italy and the Crown of Aragon.
