Aims & Scope
Advances in Perioperative Care is a Diamond Open Access journal that aims to promote a multi-disciplinary approach for the betterment of care for patients contemplating, undergoing and recovering from surgery. The journal welcomes contributions related to any aspect of perioperative medicine and recognises the importance of attracting a wide variety of professional participants to reflect the multi-disciplinary nature of this growing specialty. Examples of topics can include, but are not limited to, the following: Pharmacy interventions in surgical patient care An interesting clinical case focussing on a single aspect of management Bedside nursing skills, tricks and tips Clinical management The use of data Therapies to improve recovery and wellbeing of patients The journal has been developed and is edited by academics and clinicians at the Centre for Perioperative Medicine at UCL (University College London, UK), focusing on case studies and other forms of evidence based learning across topical issues to support learning, by providing an open access resource of informative articles related to any aspect of perioperative medicine. The journal welcomes submissions from authors across the globe on perioperative medicine.
