Aims & Scope

Journal of Current Social and Political Issues is an interdisciplinary scientific journal that focuses on critical studies of public policy, social dynamics, and political transformation in developing countries, especially the Global South (Asia, Africa, Latin America, Middle East). This journal is an intellectual space to explore contemporary socio-political phenomena that are not only rooted in local contexts but also have global resonance. This journal accepts research-based and conceptual articles with qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches in the following topics: Social and Political Transformation in the Global South Populism, digital activism, social movements, postcolonialism Social inequality and class dynamics in the era of globalization Identity, ethnic conflict, and cultural pluralism in policy Public Policy and Administration Critique Sustainable development policies and environmental governance Public service innovation and e-governance in developing countries Bureaucratic resilience in the face of crises (e.g. pandemic, climate) Human Rights, Law, and Social Justice Human rights in the digital era and state surveillance Customary justice and the role of the police in marginalized communities Local conflict resolution and indigenous peoples' rights Social Change due to Technology and Urbanization Media literacy, disinformation, and the digital security of the younger generation Urbanization, gentrification, and urban spatial justice The impact of technology on work, education, and society Critical Theory and Alternative Global Perspectives A critique of eurocentrism in the social sciences Application of postcolonial theory, global feminism, and critical development theory Ideology and discourse in international policy
