Aims & Scope

GISTU Journal of Islamic Studies publishes academic works in the field of religious studies (Social and Humanities/Religion), including articles, book reviews, critical editions, translations, and symposium evaluations. It aims to provide theoretical and methodological contributions to the fields of Islamic sciences and social sciences by publishing original and scholarly works. The journal accepts the following types of submissions: 1) Research Articles – Scholarly papers containing original insights and comprehensive analyses that make a scientific contribution to the field. 2) Book Reviews and Critiques – Analytical evaluations of significant works published in theology, social sciences, and the humanities. 3) Symposium and Panel Reports – Scientific analyses and summaries of topics discussed in academic meetings and conferences. 4) Critical Editions and Textual Studies – Examination, comparison, and publication of classical and modern texts based on scholarly methods. 5) Academic Biographies and Obituaries – Studies on the lives, thoughts, and contributions of notable figures in the intellectual world. 6) Scholarly Translation Articles – High-quality academic translations that contribute to the literature in related fields.
