The journal's aim is to publish valuable articles presenting the results of anthropological research, interesting ethnographies, as well as theoretical texts from the fields of socio-cultural anthropology and sociology, social history. The journal is widely used by students of ethnology and researchers throughout Poland. It is one of the highest-rated ethnological journals in the country. The journal is also on the ERIH and Scopus lists. Ethnologists from all over Poland and abroad publish in the journal. The journal operates a double-blind review system. The journal is available on Open Access terms, according to the CC-BY 4.0 international license.
