Aims & Scope

Wiedza Obronna is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published since 1973. Currently, it is published quarterly. The journal publishes original works in the field of security sciences and related social, humanistic, and even technical sciences (provided they reflect the journal's mission). The mission of "Wiedza Obronna" is in-depth research on national security in theoretical and practical aspects. Therefore, we seek original texts in Polish and English concerning the multidisciplinary aspects of national security and national defense in military and non-military dimensions. Publications in our journal should cover issues related to general security knowledge, i.e., theory and philosophy of security, specific disciplines in this area (military, public, general, political, economic, ecological, social, cultural, information security, cybersecurity, and others), as well as related auxiliary sciences (including: security law, defense and military law, security administration, defense and military administration, security history, security sociology, logistics, security economics, defense and military economics, and security education). The main area of consideration includes the Republic of Poland and the countries of Central-Eastern Europe and the Baltic Sea Region. However, due to the cross-border nature of contemporary security environment threats, it also refers to other European countries and NATO member states.
