Techne serien opens up for different theoretical, methodological and empirical perspectives on education and learning within the field of craft science. Techne serien publishes articles that discuss processes, materiality and body-based aspects related to the craft area. The articles can focus on pedagogical, psychological, social, cultural and technological contexts in formal and informal physical and virtual learning environments. The journal's name originates from the Greek word Techne, used in the sense of doing and knowing something, both craft-wise and artistically, as well as understanding and knowing in the broadest sense of the word; being able to and implementing or being familiar with something. Techne serien publishes peer-reviewed research in craft pedagogy and craft science in Nordic languages and English. The journal opens up for different theoretical, methodological and empirical perspectives on education and learning within the field of craft science.
