Aims & Scope

The primary aim of Journal of Finance Letters (Maliye ve Finans Yazıları) is to provide a platform for the publication of high-quality academic research in the fields of public finance, finance, banking, and economics, and to contribute to the scholarly debate in these areas. The journal particularly seeks to publish studies that are methodologically sound, based on clearly defined research questions, and engage with ongoing discussions in the existing literature. Journal of Finance Letters encourages not only theoretical contributions but also empirical research related to public policies, financial regulations, and economic practices. In this respect, the journal gives priority to studies that strengthen the interaction between academic research and real-world applications. The journal applies a double-blind peer-review process and adopts academic integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing principles as fundamental criteria. All submissions are evaluated in terms of scientific rigor, methodological consistency, and their potential contribution to the literature. Journal of Finance Letters covers studies in the field of public finance, including fiscal policy, taxation, budgeting processes, public debt, and fiscal discipline. In addition, the journal publishes research on financial markets, capital markets, investment decisions, risk management, corporate finance, and financial stability. In the area of banking, the scope includes studies on credit markets, banking regulations, financial intermediation, banking performance, digital banking, and fintech applications. Monetary policy, central banking, and macro-financial relations are also among the core themes addressed by the journal. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary research that examines the interactions between public finance, finance, and banking. Empirical studies conducted at both national and international levels, particularly those linked to policy discussions and capable of producing practical implications, are considered within the scope of the journal.
