Aims & Scope
Målbryting is a peer-reviewed Open Access journal owned by Sosiolingvistisk nettverk i Norge (SONE), an association of researchers working with issues related to the relationship between language and society. Målbryting embraces the breadth of the sociolinguistic field and publishes contributions on, for example, dialect variation and dialect change, linguistic interaction, multilingualism, language attitudes and language ideologies, language policy and language planning. The journal primarily addresses the sociolinguistic research community in Scandinavia, and contributions are preferably in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, but can exceptionally also be in English.
