Journal of Modern Science
Akademia Nauk Stosowanych WSGE im. A. De Gasperi w Józefowie · Poland · Est. 2012
Aims & Scope
The mission of the scientific journal – Journal of Modern Science is to establish a platform for the exchange of scientific ideas and to capture processes primarily related to the phenomenon of security, understood as a social phenomenon. The journal is designed as a space for the confrontation of scientific research results and for debate on key topics connected to the broadly defined concept of security. This includes legal, managerial (logistical), sociological, psychological, pedagogical, and religious issues. The dynamically changing geopolitical situation, as well as administrative, legal, and technological conditions, influence the shape and pace of social transformations. These transformations not only create new dimensions and states of security systems but also redefine the perception of security by social actors. This, in turn, leads to increasingly aware and complex relationships between citizens and the state (and its institutions), which is not only perceived as a guarantor of security but also as an entity that may seek to limit freedoms and civil rights under the pretext of security interests. The tasks, role, and positioning of the Journal of Modern Science in the publishing market align with the development of security studies and the ongoing shaping of the identity of this scientific discipline. This occurs in interaction with representatives of other scientific fields, leading to mutual integration of research activities across disciplines such as sociology, law, political science, administration, management and quality, psychology, pedagogy, economics and finance, philosophy, religion, and history. The publishing activity of this interdisciplinary community of scholars significantly influences the field of security while allowing for the application of insights from this discipline in other areas of research beyond security itself. The journal aims to create and analyze dominant research perspectives while incorporating contemporary paradigms in science, with particular emphasis on security studies.
