Aims & Scope

The Iranian Journal of Translation Studies (IJTS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing the field of translation and interpreting studies. Recognized as an Academic-Research journal by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) of Iran, IJTS serves as a platform for original research that explores the multifaceted nature of translation across various contexts. IJTS invites submissions of original research papers, case studies, and reviews that delve into translation and interpreting issues from diverse perspectives. The journal emphasizes unpublished contributions that investigate, but are not limited to, the following areas: Cultural, historical, linguistic, literary, and technological aspects of translation Theoretical frameworks and methodological approaches in translation studies Interdisciplinary studies linking translation with other fields Advancements in translation technologies and tools Ethical considerations in translation and interpreting Please note that IJTS does not publish translated papers, interviews, translation criticism, or works focused on translation didactics. The journal's mission is to foster scholarly inquiry that contributes to a deeper understanding of translation phenomena rather than to provide platforms for translation practice or pedagogy.
