Digital Culture & Education (DCE) · United Kingdom · Est. 2009
Aims & Scope
Digital Culture & Education is an international, inter-disciplinary, open-access peer reviewed academic journal for those interested in exploring the overlaps between technology, culture, and education. The journal publishes scholarly work exploring the overlaps of digital technology, culture, and education. The journal is dedicated to making this scholarship and research available to all via open access to challenge the hegemony of publishers. All articles are accessible and available in downloadable print formats hosted on this website. DCE’s editorial board is purposefully interdisciplinary, with expertise on theory and research in areas of digital technology, sociology theory, culture, internet studies, social justice, education, queer studies and beyond. The board continues to expand to match the growing diversity of digital and educational experiences and pathways. We rely entirely on the dedicated and uncredited labour of the board and our reviewers. As an open-access journal we are always seeking new ideas and pathways to share scholarship publicly. Should you have any ideas for publications, special editions, art, podcasts, videos, or any other form of public scholarship for your work, please do reach out to our team via email at [email protected] . We are keen to disrupt and expand the possibilities of public scholarship beyond conventional publications, so please do get in touch with any ideas. DCE has an open call for proposals for the development of guest-edited special themed issues and cover art. Guest editors and artists should send a short proposal to [email protected] for more information.
