La publicación ofrece un espacio de creación y de reflexión para profundizar en las relaciones entre la imagen y la escritura desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar y abierta. Su ámbito de estudio se sitúa en el área de Estética y Teoría de las Artes, y desde su fundación en 2005 se ha consolidado como una de las revistas de mayor prestigio de este dominio, reseñada en las principales bases de datos y en los más prestigiosos índices de calidad, como Philosopher’s Index, Francis, MLA, Ulrich’s o ESCI.
