Journalistica
Royal Danish Library · Denmark
Aims & Scope
Journalistica is a Nordic open access journal that publishes academic research articles on journalism understood as an interdisciplinary field. Based on a wide range of theories and methods, Journalistica articles address questions concerning journalistic practice and culture in a broad sense, including journalistic roles and norms, media institutions, media economics, media content, genres, and language. Typical contributors to Journalistica are journalism, communication, and media researchers, but also political scientists, sociologists, ethnologists, historians, linguists, and rhetoricians. Journalistica accepts original manuscripts with relevance to media and journalism in the Nordic countries. Manuscripts must not have been published in or submitted to other journals or publications. Journalistica accepts submissions in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and English. Journalistica publishes both special issues and issues without a thematic focus. From 2022, accepted articles are published directly after copy-editing ("online first").
