Aims & Scope

The Military Science and Tactics (QJMST) is a scholarly journal aimed at the study of military science, tactics, and all related disciplines from both a theoretical and empirical perspective. The scope of the journal is set to how the armed forces are trying to resolve intellectual, operational, and tactical issues. We welcome papers that consider the following areas of military studies: • operational art and tactics, • military technology and operational analysis, capabilities e.g. defense inventory and acquisition, • military strategy and international politics, • military pedagogy, • military social sciences, like human factors, • military leadership and organization, • military history.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
