Aims & Scope
The journal Manzar is a bilingual (Persian and English) journal published since November 2009 by the Nazar Research Institute of Art, Architecture, and Urbanism, focusing on landscape as a common subject in the fields of art, environment, city, architecture, and cultural heritage. Manzar provides a platform for expressing the views and opinions of specialists, researchers, and professionals in this field and related areas by adopting a local approach to landscape-related issues. Simultaneously, it strives to expand the boundaries of knowledge and enhance the journal's international credibility by internationalizing the editorial board and connecting with non-Iranian researchers and specialists, and reflecting their opinions and research findings. Submitted articles for this journal are peer-reviewed anonymously on a double-blind basis and will be published after three stages of review and approval by the editorial board. Persian articles submitted to Manzar journal will be checked for similarity using the Irandoc system in the initial evaluation stage, and if the article is accepted in the review process and the English version is submitted, the English versions of the articles will also be checked for similarity using iThenticate software. This journal is indexed in the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) and Web of Science databases and is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Manzar aims to explain the concept of "landscape" as a common discussion in the fields of art, environment, city, architecture, cultural heritage, and tourism, with two strategies: global knowledge and a practical local approach. It also aims to apply theoretical discussions to solve problems in the professional field, develop landscape science globally, recognize and introduce the landscape identity of Iran, and create connections between Iranian and international specialists.
