Aims & Scope

Az állami egyetemi lét 1912-ben kezdődött Debrecenben. Ennek százéves évfordulója közeledtével Centenáriumi Bizottságot hoztunk létre, 2007-től pedig operatív bizottság fogja össze közvetlenül a százéves évfordulóra történő méltó megemlékezés szervezését. Ennek a tevékenységnek a során vált nyilvánvalóvá, hogy bármennyire is vannak igen kiváló történeti munkák, a száz év és a korábbi korszakok tudományos igényű feldolgozásában nagyon sok hézag található. Érvényes ez más hazai vagy európai intézményekre is. Érdemesnek tűnt tehát olyan folyóiratot alapítani, amely teret ad egyetemtörténeti adatok, információk, kutatások eredményei közlésének. Így született meg 2009 végén az alapítói döntés, hogy a Debreceni Egyetem hozza létre a Gerundium Egyetemtörténeti Közlemények folyóiratot.
