Aims & Scope
Lomonosov Translation Studies Jounal was established in 1946. Its standalone series, № 22 Translation Studies, was released in 2008. Moscow University Translation Studies Bulletin is a scholarly (peer-reviewed) journal published by Higher School of Translation and Interpreting (Faculty) at Moscow State University Publishing House. The journal covers different issues of translation theory and methodology, translation criticism, the history of translation, of modern translation studies both in Russia and abroad, as well as ways of enriching and expanding the knowledge in the field of translation and interpreting. The journal also deals with other aspects such as philosophical, social, semiotic, linguistic, anthropological, psychological aspects of translation and interpreting activities as well as teaching translation and interpreting, stylistics, comparative terminological studies, computer-assisted translation (machine translation), documentation, etc. The journal is published 4 times a year. Publications include articles, submissions and reports, reviews and bibliographical surveys, reports on conferences and round-table discussions within the journal’s scope. The reviewers are leading researchers in the field of translation studies from different research institutions and universities. The journal ison the List of peer-reviewed academic journals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK)that publish key findings of dissertations submitted for the degrees of PhD and Dr.Habil. in the following fields: Aims and objectivesof the journal “Moscow University Translation Studies Bulletin”. The jounal’s aim is to aquaint the scholarly community with the university interdisciplinary school of translation and interpreting, as well as with development trends and achievements of contemporary translation theory in this country and abroard.
