German Journal of Agricultural Economics
TIB Open Publishing · Germany · Est. 2001
Aims & Scope
The GJAE publishes a broad range of theoretical, applied and policy-related articles in agricultural and food economics. It aims for a balanced coverage of economic issues within agricultural and food production, demand and trade, rural development, and sustainable and efficient resource use, as well as specific German or European issues. The journal follows an annual publication cycle, with each volume corresponding to a calendar year. The GJAE also welcomes agricultural and applied economic studies from all over the world. However, we usually do not send manuscripts out for review that present merely project reports or assessments from narrowly defined locations, unless they bear sufficiently novel theoretical or methodological insight or relevant empirical evidence that would be of potential general interest to our readers. The GJAE explicitly welcomes replication studies which assess the reproducibility and robustness of empirical studies in agricultural and food economics. We emphasize good communication with the original authors, and, at the time of submission, we will reach out to the original authors to inform them on a replication. We further describe our policies in an editorial .
