Aims & Scope

DESIDADES is an electronic scientific journal in the area of Latin American childhood and youth, published quarterly. It publishes texts in Portuguese or Spanish. It is a publication of the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Contemporary Childhood and Adolescence, NIPIAC, of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. It is committed to disseminating scientific research beyond the university walls, establishing a dialogue with researchers, professionals, students, and others interested in the area of childhood and youth. The Journal publishes unpublished original articles, interviews, and reviews from a multidisciplinary approach to childhood and youth.
