Alhiwar: Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknik Dakwah promotes normative and empirical inquiry into dawah and communication science. The journal publishes articles in Media, Communication and broadcasting (Islamic, Dawah and Social Context), Counselling and Guidance (Islamic, Education and Social Context), and Management (Dawah Context, Islamic Institution, and Islamic Community) as well as articles that approach the role of dawah in media and society from a historical, psychological, sociological, or anthropological standpoint.
