Aims & Scope

TARBIYA: Journal of Education in Muslim Society is a peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to the advancement of knowledge, theory, and professional practice in education across Muslim societies. The journal publishes original research articles and high-quality review papers relevant to contemporary educational developments. It seeks to foster rigorous scholarship that bridges Islamic perspectives with contemporary educational thought, encouraging dialogue on pedagogy, curriculum, educational leadership, technology, philosophy, institutional development, and broader transformations in education. As a leading journal in its field, TARBIYA is positioned as a credible scholarly venue for academics, researchers, lecturers, policy observers, and practitioners who engage with educational issues in Muslim contexts at both national and international levels. The journal focuses on educational studies in Muslim societies, especially scholarship that critically examines the interaction between Islamic intellectual traditions and contemporary educational thought, policy, systems, and practices. The journal welcomes original research and review articles in Islamic education, social and science education, teaching and learning, curriculum studies, educational management and leadership, educational technology, teacher education, language and religious education, philosophy of education, educational quality development, and early childhood education.
