The journal is published by the Polska Akademia Umiejętności [abbreviated in Polish as ‘PAU’] (Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences), the oldest Polish scientific academy. The electronic version of the journal is distributed by the Publishing House of the Jagiellonian University (it is the oldest Polish university). The journal is established within the framework of the activities of the PAU Commission on the History of Science. The organizational basis of the journalStudia Historiae Scientiarumis determined by: The aim of the journal’s activity is the development of scientific discourse, characteristic of the PAU Commission on the History of Science. The journalStudia Historiae Scientiarumis a strictly scientific (not business) journal: the editor-in-chief and other editors, members of the journal’s scientific council and the journal’s reviewers do not receive remuneration for their contribution to the journal (regardless of the functions performed and the amount of time they devote to developing the journal) – this is apro publico bonoactivity.
