Aims & Scope

JTK (Jurnal Tadris Kimiya) is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality scholarly works in chemistry education and chemistry-related sciences. The journal aims to advance the development of chemical knowledge, learning, and practice by disseminating original research, reviews, and theoretical studies that demonstrate intense scientific rigor and educational relevance. JTK (Jurnal Tadris Kimiya) is a journal of chemistry education published by the Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, in collaboration with Perkumpulan Pendidik IPA Indonesia (PPII) . JTK (Jurnal Tadris Kimiya) provides a platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to engage in interdisciplinary dialogue across chemistry education, applied chemistry, and selected areas of pure chemistry, with particular attention to innovation, sustainability, and scientific literacy. By integrating educational perspectives with chemical science research, JTK (Jurnal Tadris Kimiya) seeks to improve chemistry teaching and learning and to advance scientific research across diverse educational and societal contexts. We publish original research articles and article reviews (systematic literature reviews) written in English. JTK (Jurnal Tadris Kimiya) publishes manuscripts that include, but are not limited to, the following areas: Chemistry Education: Teaching and learning of chemistry at secondary and higher education levels; Curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment in chemistry education; STEM and interdisciplinary approaches in chemistry learning; Technology-enhanced learning, digital media, and laboratory innovation in chemistry; Chemistry teacher education and professional development; Chemical literacy, scientific literacy, and socioscientific issues; Evaluation of instructional models and learning outcomes in chemistry. Applied and Contextual Chemistry: Green chemistry and sustainable chemical processes; Environmental and analytical chemistry with educational or applied relevance; Materials chemistry for educational, industrial, or environmental applications; Laboratory-based chemical studies supporting learning and innovation; Instrumentation and experimental methods in chemical sciences. Selected Areas of Pure Chemistry: Organic, inorganic, physical, and biochemistry; Chemical synthesis, characterization, and reaction mechanisms; Structure–property relationships and molecular design; Computational and theoretical chemistry with experimental, applied, or educational implications. Manuscripts in pure chemistry must demonstrate apparent scientific originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the advancement of chemical sciences. JTK (Jurnal Tadris Kimiya) welcomes contributions from researchers and educators worldwide, aiming to foster a global exchange of ideas and practices that will advance the field of chemistry. The journal aspires to be a leading voice in promoting innovation, equity, and excellence in chemistry.
