Aims & Scope

Journal An-Nafs: Kajian Penelitian Psikologi focuses on scholarly works in educational psychology and includes discussions of social psychology within educational contexts, such as interpersonal, group, and community interactions. The journal publishes research articles based on empirical studies employing quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches, as well as Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR) that critically synthesize existing research to advance theoretical understanding, methodological development, and practical implications in psychology and education. Narrative reviews and traditional literature reviews are not prioritized unless they apply a rigorous, systematic, and transparent review methodology. Journal An-Nafs: Kajian Penelitian Psikologi covers a broad range of issues, including but not limited to learning innovation in psychology; student interactions; leadership and teacher career development in educational settings; teacher–student relationships; school culture; special education; gender, race, ethnicity, and social class in education; achievement, motivation, and attitudes in school; psychological interventions in educational settings; bullying, violence, and criminal behavior in schools, and other related topics. The journal prioritizes high-quality, innovative, and comprehensive research on psychological phenomena associated with Muslim generations, societies, countries, and educational institutions. Studies focusing on Muslim and developing countries are especially encouraged to increase the international visibility of psychological research from these regions. Nevertheless, contributions from all regions and cultural contexts are welcome, provided they offer significant theoretical or practical contributions to the field.
