Aims & Scope

Bağcılar Medical Bulletin is the scientific publication of the University of Health Sciences, Istanbul Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital. The journal is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access medical journal published quarterly (March, June, September, and December). Bağcılar Medical Bulletin is a general medicine journal that aims to contribute to the advancement of medical science by publishing high-quality clinical and experimental research relevant to contemporary clinical practice and healthcare delivery. The journal provides an international platform for clinically relevant research addressing current challenges in healthcare and encouraging interdisciplinary and translational approaches in medical science. As a multidisciplinary general medicine journal, Bağcılar Medical Bulletin welcomes submissions from major areas of clinical medicine including internal medicine and its subspecialties, surgical sciences, family medicine and primary care, public health, emergency medicine, and other major clinically oriented medical fields. The journal aims to publish research that contributes to evidence-based clinical practice and advances in healthcare delivery. The journal primarily publishes original clinical and experimental research articles. Review articles, case reports presenting educational or rare clinical observations, and letters to the editor contributing to scientific discussion are also considered for publication. The target audience of the journal includes clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals interested in developments in clinical medicine, translational research, and healthcare practice. The publication language of the journal is English for full texts, with abstracts available in both Turkish and English. The editorial and publication process of the Bağcılar Medical Bulletin are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO). The journal is in conformity with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
