Aims & Scope

Forbes Journal of Medicine is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal that publishes experimental, basic, and original clinical research in the fields of medicine and health sciences. As of 2026, the journal operates under a continuous publication model , whereby accepted articles are published online promptly upon completion of the editorial and production processes. In addition to original research articles , the journal publishes reviews, case reports, and letters to the editor . Manuscript evaluation is based primarily on external, independent peer review , with reviewers selected from recognized experts in the relevant disciplines. The journal aims to serve as a reliable scientific platform where scholars in medicine and health sciences can disseminate their research and where published articles may be widely used as authoritative references within the scientific community. Studies that emphasize these aims provide the basis for publication, including original articles, reviews, case reports, letters to the editor, and annual meetings' abstracts. All articles must be submitted to Forbes Journal of Medicine exclusively with the understanding that they have not been published previously in print or electronic format and not under consideration by any other journal or electronic medium for publication. All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial board in terms of compliance with the journal's publishing policies. Appropriate articles are sent to double blind peer review. After the articles are received, they are evaluated and the first decision is forwarded to the author within two months. The editorial and publication process of the Forbes Journal of Medicine are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO). The journal is in conformity with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing .
