Aims & Scope

The International Journal of Education and Health (IJEH) , created in 2017 and maintained by the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública , is an online publication featuring original and unpublished work resulting from scientific research on higher education and health, health education (medical and in the frontier with other fields), and interdisciplinary contributions to health education, following the aim to develop the education focused on the health teaching field. The journal comprises five sections that categorize the submissions. The Original Articles and Concept Articles sections must address topics related to the medical and health education field, such as educational technologies (ICTs, Artificial Intelligence, etc.), teaching and assessment methodologies, and faculty development themes. The Education, Comprehensiveness and Health Care in Primary Care section is dedicated to publications concerning experiences in primary care related to the training of health professionals, health education, and popular education in health. The Experience Reports and Making the Difference in Education (MDE) sections are special sections dedicated to reporting experiences in health education. Articles on Medical Humanities, Art in Health Education, and Palliative Care are also within the journal’s scope. Submissions in the form of infographics and videos are also accepted.
