Aims & Scope

Proceedings from the scientific conference Methodology and Archaeometry is open access, peer-reviewed publication which publishes articles from the international scientific conference Methodology and Archaeometry organized by the Department of Archaeology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. Although the conference is organized since 2013, in 2018 we started a new publication with open access policy. Articles are published under the terms of a Creative Commons license which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium or format, provided the original work is properly cited. The publication aims to publish articles related to new theoretical and methodological approaches in data collecting and processing and to cover a wide spectrum of scientific methods, such as geology, chemistry, biology, physics, etc. which are a fundamental part of contemporary archaeological science. The interdisciplinary character of the conference produces scientific papers of very high interest and relevance in archaeological research and offers new insights into the latest approaches in archaeological research. The publication will not consider multiple submissions and redundant publications.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
