Aims & Scope
JEET: Journal of English Education and Technology (ISSN 2721-3811 Online) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the advancement of research and scholarly discussion in the fields of English Education, English Language Teaching (ELT), Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and Curriculum Development. The journal publishes high-quality scholarly articles including empirical research, theoretical analyses, and methodological innovations that contribute to the improvement of English language education in both formal and informal learning contexts across educational levels. Empirical manuscripts are expected to present rigorous research findings using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method approaches. Submissions should clearly describe research design, analytical procedures, and research implications. Review and theoretical articles should provide critical insights and offer original contributions to the development of English language education research. The Journal of English Education and Technology (JEET), with E-ISSN: 2721-3811 , is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access international journal published by the Forum Komunikasi Dosen Peneliti (FKDP), Indonesia. JEET is dedicated to exploring the critical intersection of digital transformation and English language teaching (ELT). Moving beyond general educational technology, JEET specifically focuses on how emerging digital ecosystems, cognitive tools, and advanced computing reshape pedagogical practices, second language acquisition, and learner autonomy. The journal aims to provide a global platform highlighting innovations, digital equity, and challenges particularly within English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and Global South contexts. The journal welcomes rigorous empirical research, systematic literature reviews, and theoretical papers. To maintain a distinct scientific niche, JEET prioritizes submissions that address the following core areas: Artificial Intelligence in ELT: The impact of generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and automated evaluation systems on language cognition, writing processes, and teaching methodologies. Immersive & Mobile Learning Ecologies: Pedagogical design and ecological validity of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL). Data-Driven Language Learning: The application of learning analytics and corpus-based approaches to personalize language instruction. Digital Equity & Teacher Agency: Critical examinations of the digital divide and the evolution of teacher digital competence (e.g., TPACK) in resource-constrained regions. Human–Computer Interaction in Language Education: Socio-emotional dimensions of technology use in ELT, including learner engagement, digital well-being, and technostress. Out of Scope (What We Do Not Publish) To ensure high academic impact and global relevance, JEET does strictly not accept: General English education or linguistics papers without a primary and significant focus on technology. Simple descriptive or perception studies on ubiquitous tools (e.g., “students' perceptions of using generic video conferencing tools”) that lack deep theoretical novelty. Small-scale classroom action research limited to a single local institution without broader, generalizable implications for an international audience.
