Aims & Scope
Indonesian Journal of Religious Studies (IJoRS) aims to advance scholarly inquiry into religion as a dynamic force shaping social, ethical, cultural, and humanitarian life. The journal seeks to promote critical and interdisciplinary research that examines the role of religious values, institutions, and lived practices in addressing contemporary societal challenges. IJoRS particularly aims to contribute to the growing body of knowledge on religious philanthropy, highlighting its significance in faith-based social engagement, moral responsibility, community development, social justice, and sustainable development in both local and global contexts. The scope of Indonesian Journal of Religious Studies (IJoRS) includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: Religious philanthropy and social welfare Ethics, morality, and social justice Community development and empowerment Culture, identity, and religious life Humanitarian action and disaster response Policy, governance, and public engagement Sustainability and environmental responsibility Interfaith dialogue and social collaboration Faith-based organizations and civil society Comparative and global perspectives in religious studies
