Aims & Scope

Educatio Siglo XXI publishes original and unpublished primary studies (empirical research) and secondary studies (meta-analytical, bibliometric, and systematic reviews prepared under PRISMA criteria). Theoretical reflection papers are not accepted. The journal accepts submissions in Spanish and English. The title of the article will be written in Spanish and English. The abstract and keywords will be written in IMRYD format in Spanish, English, and French (maximum 250 characters). Keywords must be entered separately by pressing enter between each word, in both Spanish and English. Article length will be between 5000 and 7000 words. This length will include abstracts, keywords, notes, references, bibliographic references, tables, and figures. For research and studies, it is recommended that the article include, at least, the following aspects: problem statement or subject of study, background and theoretical foundation, design and methodology, results, discussion of results, conclusions, study limitations, and, where applicable, prospective. Articles will follow the criteria of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (www.apastyle.org), in its latest edition, in both Spanish and English. At the end of the work, a list called "Bibliographic references" will be included, presented in alphabetical order and adhering to the norms of the aforementioned Manual. Notes will be numbered consecutively and their text will be placed at the bottom of the page, restricting them to the minimum necessary. Notes that are simple bibliographic references should be avoided; in such cases, they should be in the text, indicating only the author(s) and, in parentheses, the year of publication; the complete reference will be included in the bibliographic references. Figures (graphs, images, photographs, etc.) and tables must be those necessary to complement or clarify the text. They will be numbered consecutively according to type (tables and figures) and presented in black and white. Tables and figures must be presented in a non-image format to facilitate subsequent modifications if necessary during article layout. Book reviews: a. Regarding the work reviewed: preferably scientific publications or relevant innovations in the field of education. The relevance of the subject matter of the work, the specialization and prestige of the author(s) and the publisher, and the timeliness of the work (publication year) will be considered. b. Regarding the review: the quality of the text and the reviewer's specialization in the subject matter will be considered. The length will be between 500 and 1000 words, and it will be headed by the details of the work reviewed. The name and surname, along with the University of the reviewer, must be written at the end of the text. The review can be sent to the journal's email address ([email protected]) or by ordinary mail to the following address: Revista Educatio siglo XXI. Facultad de Educación. Campus universitario de Espinardo. 30100 Murcia. The author will also send, in an attached file, the following personal details: full name and surname, department, University, postal address, telephone, and email address.
