Aims & Scope
The aim of the JHET is to promote excellence in the teaching of health education. The scope of the JHET is professionals and students in the health education fields. The readership is international. The goal is to promote the scholarship of teaching in all of health education including health education teacher education (HETE), community health, public health, and the personal health course that is frequently a general education course. Contributors are encouraged to submit both quantitative and qualitative manuscripts.These might include, but are not limited to : empirical research. teaching innovations and their impact on student learning. reflections of teaching experiences in the college classroom. the intertwined teaching and learning process. cross discipline research findings on teaching practices. teaching methodologies in health education. teaching pedagogies in health education. historical educational research. classroom research. effective teaching practices. the value of guest speakers within a course. comparisons between traditional face-to-face teaching verses online teaching.
